Creating A User

Welcome to the online entry system for hamster showing. To get started you first need to create a user.

Click on sign up. Fill out the details requested.

Note:
The name you use MUST be the name you wish your entries to be entered under. This must be your name unless you have a registered hamstery name with the NHC, then the hamstery name should be used.
By filling out an email you allow the option for you to email yourself confirmation of your entries and also allow the show secretary to contact you by email should they need to.

Once filled in click sign up. Congratulations! you now have a user! this can be used with each show, so now you have a user go to the show list.

Logging In

Click log in, this is located at the top right hand corner of the page. Enter your user name and your password. Remember these details are case sensitive. For example, if you signed up as User only User will work not user.

Attending A Show

Select the show you wish to enter from the list provided in show list. Each show gives the name of location and the date for that show.

Once you have clicked on the name of the show you wish to attend you will be taken to its page.
The show page shows you details about the show, this information is possitioned in the top left hand side of the page. This informs you who the Show Secretary is, Livestock Manager and gives both the show date and the entry cut off date.

Note:
You may only enter or amend your hamsters in the show up to (and including) the entry cut off date. After this date has passed you may contact the Show secretary by email or phone (or whatever contact details are given) to arrange adding late entries, or making late ammendments. It is up to the show secretary whether or not they will allow late entries and a reason is required
Opposite the list of show details at the top right hand of the page you will see a button marked 'Attending Show'. If you wish to attend this show and add entries (or book passes/car passes for outdoor shows) please click this button.

You will now see that where the button was, your name is now listed (picture example the user name was Nooboo Hamstery).

If you have entered this show by mistake, or if at any point you wish to cancel attending the show, please click the 'delete entrant' button. This can be found to the right of your name under Entries. To prevent accidental removal for entrants a confirmation box will appear once clicked to confirm this action.

Edit User Details For Specific Show

Next to the user name in 'entrants' you will see two buttons to the right, the first is delete entrant, the second edit entrant. This is an edit function, should you need to edit your name or contact details for this show only please click this button. Once you have clicked it another button will appear below your name called 'edit entrant' by clicking on this your details will appear.

Once you have edited your details you save these changes by clicking the 'Update entrant' button located below them.

Details For Shows Requiring Passes/Car Passes

When entering a show which requires passes or car passes to be posted out to entrants extra details are needed to send these out to you. When you have clicked the show you wish to enter you will see a section above the 'attending show' button.

These details need to be entered. (the example address of 3 tree house walk for example, shows this entrant needs an adult pass, a child pass and a car pass).

When you then click your name to add entries you will know if this information has been added successfully as it will be shown above your entries list on your entries page.

If this information is not there, please delete yourself from the show and try again, or edit your details under edit entrant (this can be done if you requested the wrong number of passes, though any changes to this must be done when first booking, else the show secretary will need alerting to the change separatly as well!)

Adding Your Hamster Entries

Click your name in the entrants section. This will take your to your entries page.

Selecting main class

Select the main class you wish your hamster to be entered in from the drop down list, this always shows the first class, class one - Golden until a new class is selected. To select a different class activate the drop down box by clicking on this box. Simply then click the class you wish to enter from the list (example picture shows class 6 - patterned).

Selecting Duplicates and Adding Hire Pens.

Once the main class has been selected you can add the duplicates you wish this hamster to be entered in. This is done by ticking the boxes next to the duplicates you wish to enter, also at the bottom of this is the box for adding a hire pen

Note:
Adding a hire pen may not mean you will recieve one, due to numbers of hire pens available. Priority goes to novices, then intermediates, on a first come first serve basis. If the hire pen you requested is not available the show secretary will contact you to inform you of this and to resort your entries accordingly.

The example shows a syrian entered into class 6 - patterned, with the duplicates novice, breeder, and grand challenge. A hire pen has also been selected.

When you have the duplicates your require (and the hire pen box is ticked if required) simply press the 'add entry' button to add this entry to the show.
Once this is done that hamster entry is listed in your entries. this section shows you the class entered, the duplicates entered, any aditional hirepens, and the cost per entry and in total for entries. Should this entry be incorrect or should you wish to withdraw this entry simply click delete entry before the entry close date.

Note:
Once deleted this entry will need to be readded as a new entry to be entered

When you click delete entry you will be asked if you are sure, this is to prevent any accidents with deletion.

You may add as many entries as you wish. Dwarf entries are to be found below the syrian in the drop down list and are entered the same way (The example shows a dwarf being entered into class D4 - Winter White Normal, with the duplicates D12 breeder and D13 grand challenge. The duplicates change to dwarf ones when a dwarf class is selected.

With non standard classes 20 and D14 duplactes are not permitted, this is reflected by the lack of boxes other than hire pen when these classes are selected.

Note:
When hiring a dwarf hire pen please remember that up to two dwarfs of same species can be in the same pen even if in different classes (for example the winter white entries of d4 and d5 with duplicates d12 and d13 for each can both be in one hire pen, thus only one was selected)

Email Confirmation.

On your hamster entries page above where you enter your hamster, and below which show these entries are for you will see a button called 'email confirmation'. Once you have entered your hamsters you may click this button to email yourself to the email you gave the list of entries you have made. once this is done the page will update and show 'Email confirmation sent' at the top left corner of the page under the show list button.
